Research on Short Form and Long Form

 I did this research on short form and long form seeing as we would potentially be creating a video for the canon campaign and we are making an advert for the smile campaign. This research helped me for both smile and canon as it helped me with the analysis of videos/pieces of media.

Smile Video Experimentation and Drafts

In the video above, I had experimented with what the video would be like if it had no voiceover however this one stayed as a draft for many reasons. I didnt like the video without the voiceover as I felt it was less appealing to my audience which my peer Jennifer Finnigan agreed with however the background behind the mind logo was also not fully black which I didnt like so when it came to re-editing my video I made sure this issue was fixed. When I had rendered and exported the video here, due to technical issues the audio hadnt saved however I decided to use this as a draft as the editing is done for my final product here and it meant it was easier for me when It came to adding my voiceover and music given the chance that I decided to change my final product due to feedback from peers or even just to improve it.   As you can see above there were many drafts for my video as well as for my voiceover as I wanted to ensure that my product was of the highest quality it could be given...

I did these reviews on three different podcasts so that I could look into the structure and codes and conventions of podcasts in general as well as looking specifically into diiferent genres of podcasts so I could get some potential ideas for what I wanted to do within my own advert. Smile Video Feedback

To ensure that my video is engaging to my audience, I did a screening in front of a few of my peers so that I could see people's inital reaction to the video. I made a form before the screening so that I could quickly get responses before people forgot the content within the video. It was important for me to get feedback from my peers as I wanted to see what people liked however also what they would change so I could take that into mind before putting submitting my final piece (So I could make small changes whilst editing)     Thankfully, all of those who watched my video all felt that the video was appropriate for the client and they felt that if they were in Mind's shoes they would be happy to recieve the product I made. I was happy to recieve this feedback as if the audience felt that the content in my video did, in fact, not contain appropriate content/fit the brief then I would have had to go back and re-record my footage as well as re-do the editing.   Out of all th...
